LOVING: Arizona Muse Vogue Korea September 2011

This is Arizona Muse's first Vogue cover and I love it! The very hyped about model has also covered Vogue Italia January 2011 issue alongside rumoured girlfriend Freja Beha Erichsen, but this is her first solo one! She is definitely growing on me as a model, and I love the simplicity of this cover.

Trending: That's 70's Show

A new decade has ushered in the fashion world, and we’re revisiting the time of bellbottoms, silk blouses and psychedelic prints. Although Studio 54 is a thing of the past, the renowned styles and essences of your favourite 70’s icons live on today, and can be seen in many fall/winter 2011 shows.

The suit for women- which was perfected by Yves Saint Laurent himself was bough back to life in their fall/winter 2011 collection. The light fabric pantsuit which sashayed down the runway was reminiscent of the iconic YSL skirt suit Bianca Jagger wore on her wedding day, and was significant of the new era of femininity in the seventies. A time were the power woman was coming into her own, the suit began to dominate, and continues to dominate in 2011, showed my YSL, Dolce & Gabbana’s  androgynous spin on the classic tux and in Paul Smith’s preppy fall 2011 collection.

Wide leg pants and bell bottoms have also been revisited this season in a variety of styles. Elie Tahari, Diane Von Furstenburg and Lacoste all used muted colours to showcase this trend and used skinny belts to cinch in the waist. Anna Sui took on a more bohemian approach for her fall/winter 2011 collection, with and assortment of bell bottom trousers in paisley prints and more. This versatile trend can range from a sophisticated work style to a fun and flirty bohemian style, showing that people from all ages can rock this trend.

Hats. Big, brass, bold hats are the go to trend this season, and it’s best that you go big or go home! Gucci’s bold wide brim fedora’s were the perfect accessory for their fall/winter 2011 collection, and the colour palettes ranged from deep purple hues to oranges and turquoise, with feathered tips. Lanvin also added this larger than life accessory to their collection, in the form of large wide brim hats in black and muted hues, which covered the eyes. For a more mysterious approach this would be the look for you!

Sophisticated 70’s glamour is all the rage this season, with Michael Kors showcasing a range of glittery haltered jumpsuits and dresses accessorized with glamorous furs and sandals. Think Jerry Hall and Elizabeth Taylor with this trend and go with high shine fabrics and mega platforms to work this ultra glam trend.

Just some random looks currently inspiring me at the moment; mixing of prints & patterns for Cynthia Vincent's boho inspired fall winter 2011 collection, the everlasting colour blocking trend on blogger Hanneli Mustaparta, and the simple effortless look of a plain white tee, jeans and those essential Rag & Bone boots on McNeil.

Also loving Florence & Machine's new song 'What The Water Gave Me'. Check it out below:
