POP magazine S/S 12

In some way this is completely brash but somehow I love it. The combination of art, fashion and architecture within in this one editorial totally works for me.

Gucci goes dark.

Gucci's autumn/winter 2012 collection was the epitome of dark romanticism. Sheer chiffon dresses, leather/fur jackets, brocade trousers, velvet accents, gothic pattern appliqu├ęs and black, black...and more black.

Who knew Gucci could go so dark?! love it.

Tibi Fall 2012

Oh how I do love a bit of androgyny and preppy fashion. Tibi fall 2012 was filled with suits, double breasted and oversized blazers, sweaters and straight-line midi skirts in black and green. I would wear every look from this collection.

Song of the day.

A LEGEND. R.I.P

NYFW: Alexander Wang Fall 2012

Just a few of my favourite looks from Alexander Wang's fall/winter 2012 show. Overall the whole collection was brilliant, and exactly what you'd expect from Wang and more. The accessories were amazing, with leather knee high boots, 'Silence of the Lambs' -esque masks, and leather doctor bags. Colours ranged from burgundy to white, with football sweaters, balmacaan coats in utility styles and midi skirts with slits down the middle.

Pyjama dressing- effortlessly stylish or not?

Pyjama dressing has become a phenomenon these past few seasons, with the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Celine and Stella McCartney boosting the two-piece sleepwear. Even hottie Ryan Gosling wowed us in a Ferragamo pyjama styled suit at Cannes last year! The trend continues to dominate, with Balmain’s pre-fall 2012 collection featuring an art deco inspired silk pyjama suit which hung effortlessly on model Kasia Struss- but can pyjama dressing work for the masses? Bloggers Rumi Neely & Elin Kling have successfully tried this trend, with paisley print pink pyjama pants while fashion icon and stylist Caroline Sieber went full steam ahead wearing a royal blue silk pyjama suit with white piping. Are favourite fashionista’s seem to be working the trend perfectly, however I am still quite skeptical on how to wear this trend. This trend can easily become quite tricky to pull off, without looking sloppy due to the cut of some of these garments. However, rocking maybe the pyjama pant or pyjama top separately may create a more comfortable effortless look if the whole suit doesn’t work for you. Team your pyjama top with a chic blazer, skinny jeans and a pair of velvet loafers and your easy chic PJ look will be ready to go!

i-D embraces the Chinese new year.

i-D celebrate the year of the dragon with twelve pre-spring 2012 covers shot by Chen Man. I love when magazines embrace different cultures and multi-ethnicites, and the covers are all vibrant and show the variety in asian beauty and their history. I'll definitely be buying a copy when it's available on 9th February.

Although this editorial is hardly innovative or mind blowing, I have a soft spot for striking black and white editorials such as this one. Anja looks pretty amazing also.
